Sonia Gregorio (Oaxaca, Mexico, 1996) is a playwright and stage creator, her works intertwine self-fiction, ritual and documentary practices. She is founder of the scenic creation and research laboratory Teatro en llamas. 

She has received grants from the Foundation for Mexican Letters (2020-2021), The Royal Court Theater + Anglo Arts International Playwriting Program (2021-2023), the FONCA Young Creators Program in the area of Playwriting (2022-2023). In January 2024 her play Ovillo in its English version, was presented at the New Plays International Festival at Jerwood Theatre Upstairs in London. She is playwright and director of the play Reverdecer: Ensayo escénico a dos voces, beneficiary of the stimulus Circuito Nacional de Artes Escénicas en espacios independientes Chapultepec (2023-2024), the play received honorable mention for best ensemble at the 31 Festival Internacional de Teatro Universitario de la UNAM.
