Nomin Zezegmaa
October 6 to November 7
Berlin

Nomin Zezegmaa is a multidisciplinary artist, researcher, writer and goldsmith working in the Netherlands, Mongolia and Germany. Her practice moves through deep time, drawing inspiration from Mongolian cosmogony and ancestral knowledge practices to dialogue with - and through - matter, spirit and ancestral memory. Engaging with the invisible and the elemental, she mediates between presence and absence, form and formlessness, the human and the non-human. Working in sculpture, painting, calligraphy, land art, film and performance, her investigations unfold where microcosm meets macrocosm, alchemy meets semiotics and language becomes vessel and threshold. In essence, her work seeks other ways of creating worlds, where the telluric multi-species coexistence is lived, felt and invoked.
