Jumko Ogata Aguilar is a writer, translator and anti-racism communicator from Veracruz. She holds a BA in Latin American Studies from UNAM. She is a member of the 2025 cohort of Fellows of the Ford Foundation. She was part of the anthology "Cabezas en la Ventana. Antología de terror latinoamericano" (2024), Tsunami 2 (2020) as well as "Hijas de América Latina" (2023). She is the author of "Mi pelo chino" (2022) a bilingual children's book dedicated to celebrating curly hair. She is the translator of "Sisters of the Yam. Black Women and Our Recovery" by bell hooks (2024). She has taught workshops on anti-racism for Meta, Google, the Secretaría de Cultura, and non-profit organizations in Mexico and the United States.
