Franziska Gänsler's first novel, Eternal Summer (2022), was translated into several languages and awarded the Bavarian State Prize for the Promotion of the Arts. Her second novel, Islands of Light,was published in 2024. She teaches English and creative writing and divides her time between Augsburg and Berlin.
