Author of four juvenile fantasy novels, a book of essays and two books of short stories. She studied chemistry at UNAM, an MFA in creative writing in Spanish at the University of Iowa and an MA in Japanese Studies at the Colegio de México. She has held scholarships from FONCA on two occasions and from the Madrid City Council at the historic Residencia de Estudiantes for two years. She has received the 2018 Gilberto Owen National Literature Prize for short story, the 2019 Juan José Arreola National Literature Prize and the 2019 José Luis Martínez National Young Essay Prize. In 2021 she was selected as part of the 22 Young Novelists in Spanish by Granta magazine. She currently lives in Mexico City with her cat.
