Workshop by Johanna Serrot
She has developed her career in the world of holistic therapy and multidisciplinary art with
Therapeutic approach. She began at a very young age in the world of dance
contemporary, to then enter the school of
Initiation of fine arts in saxophone in 2010, concluded training in medicine
traditional Chinese medicine at the autonomous university of Chapingo in 2014. To later
continue in the exploration of art as a therapeutic tool she was trained in Neuroscience
, by the teacher Ruth Cerezo, professor and researcher at UNAM.
Her art-therapeutic work is expressed through the works she calls "textile totems",
are collective weavings that are gestated with the intention of rescuing spaces that allow us
to create in a non-hierarchical way and from the calm in our nervous system, rescuing the
collective and individual memory through weaving as a social action that unifies the
coexistence in the present, past and future. Creating a space of well-being for all
participants. Some of their collective works have been exhibited in, Laboratorio de
arte Alameda, Womb Mexico, independent performance collectives and congresses of
gestalt psychology.
Objective of the workshop:
Use embroidery as a tool for active meditation, channeling and energetic healing. Through the embroidery of a talisman or emblem with the colors of the rainbow, each participant will activate their spiritual and creative path from the being they inhabit.
