Do you have a story that deserves to be told?

This workshop is an invitation to explore documentary filmmaking from the personal, the everyday or the collective. During four Saturdays, you will be able to develop your idea, shoot and edit your own short documentary with professional accompaniment. Your project can start from the intimate -like a family portrait- or from what surrounds you in the city: the chinampas of Xochimilco, the garbage workers, a visual essay about the microbuses... or even archival materials. Anything is possible.

You will learn theory, documentary ethics, how to write and present your plan, and how to shoot and edit with your cell phone.🎞️ Upon completion, we will present the projects at the Casa Snowapple Film Festival on August 2.
