Talia is a director, writer and producer of film, theater and virtual reality based in Los Angeles. She uses speculative storytelling and non-naturalistic narrative techniques, from dance to science fiction, to create new worlds that reveal our own deepest truths. His dance films have been featured in international platforms and festivals, including Short of the Week, NOWNESS, Dance Magazine and Dance Camera West. Her short film NEXT TIME took home an audience award at the Academy Award-qualifying Nashville Film Festival and also screened at the HollyShorts Film Festival. Her upcoming short film MAKE ME A PIZZA was a finalist for the AFI Directing Workshop for Women+ and was selected for MovieMaker Magazine's Production Services Program. She holds a BFA in Screenwriting and Directing from Carnegie Mellon University and has furthered her education through working with filmmakers such as Boaz Yakin (REMEMBER THE TITANS), Josephine Decker (MADELINE'S MADELINE), Paula Wagner (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE) and Apichatpong Weerasethakul (UNCLE BOONMEE WHO CAN REMEMBER HIS PAST LIVES). He produced the upcoming feature film A MOONLESS NIGHT with the Snowapple collective and has served on the jury of the Los Angeles Dance Film Festival and the Jardin Rouge Film Festival.
