Nikki Dekker (b. 1989) is a writer and radio producer. Her first novel, diepdiepblauw(deep deep blue, 2022), a coming-of-age story told through sea creatures, was awarded the CCS Crone Stipendium and nominated for the Bronzen Uil (shortlist) and the De Boon (longlist). The newspaper De Volkskrant has named her literary talent of 2023. Nikki is a columnist for the radio program Vroege Vogels and editor of the literary magazine Tirade. Her latest book, Graafdier (Digging Animal), a literary journey through the soil, through the surface of the earth, back in time, was published in September 2024.
