
Fien Veldman (Leeuwarden, Netherlands, 1990) received the Joost Zwagerman Essay Prize in 2021 for his essay "Not really making it", about his childhood in a working-class neighborhood in Leeuwarden. In 2018 he won the Elise Mathilde Essay Prize for his essay "Borders, doors and eyes open". Xerox (Atlas Contact, 2023) is her first novel and has been translated into German (Hanser, 2024) and English (Head of Zeus/Bloomsbury, 2024).
